“……When we decided to publish Conversations On Faith, it was our desire to compile frank, honest, and intimate interviews with men and women who have all walked different paths, come from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and therefore have seen faith work in many different ways in their lives. We asked them to share their stories, their insights, and their inspiration, so others might be encouraged to grab hold of faith and see it work in their life!

Bee’s contribution pushes this dynamic collection of inspirational and motivational insights over the top! Readers can tap into the minds of a unique collection of faith-driven personalities. You’ve got to get this book.”

TESTIMONIALS

December 4, 2004

Dear Ms. Bareng,

My name is Chris D. I live in North Carolina. I just finished reading Conversations on Faith. I was given a copy by my good friend, Sharon Hinton Smith (www.sharonhintonsmith.com & http://www.sharonhintonsmith.com ) who is also featured in the book. The book has been a blessing to me on many levels. I got a glimpse of the process that went into the making of it through Sharon, who worked so hard on her story, as I know you all did. Through all of you, the Lord has woven a wonderful tapestry that I know will bring many people to know Jesus as their Saviour, and encourage many others in their walk of faith, as I have been.

I was especially blessed by your story, because it seems our salvation testimonies are very similar in one respect. I too was powerfully influenced by that little blue book called Power for Living, which I ordered through a television advertisement concerning the Presidential Proclamation of the Year of the Bible. Here is a link to the actual proclamation. Year of the Bible, Public Law 97-280 <http://www.moseshand.com/studies/reagan.htm> The year of the proclamation was 1983, but I believe the impact continued for many years to come. As for me, in 1983 I was not a Christian. On December 31, 1983, I had a strange urge to buy a Bible. It literally came out of nowhere, as I thought. Of course, we know where that prompting came from. I began a “read through the Bible in a Year” plan that was included in the Bible I bought. As I read with the testimonies in Power for Living, I began to “search the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so,” (Acts 17:11) and through that process to understand who God was and how to get to know Him through Jesus Christ. I accepted Jesus as my Savior in late May of 1984. I still have my copy of that little blue book, which next to God’s Word, means so much to me.

I was deeply moved when I read your story, and I’m glad it was last in the book, because it just capped things off for me. I am going through a period of deep discouragement (“We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life”, 2 Corinthians 1:8), but Conversations on Faith has blown a fresh wind of the Spirit into my life (“But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead” 2 Corinthians 1:9). I was truly blessed by all of the testimonies in the book, but most of all by yours and Sharon’s. I believe you and Sharon have most clearly shared how to receive Christ as Savior, and I know people are going to be doing just that as they read your stories. I am in the process of compiling a list of my favorite quotes in the book, and definitely among those is this one that has been a great encouragement to me:

“. . . I learned from the Bible that I have been forgiven and therefore I should be of good cheer. God’s Word assures me that Jesus has overcome the world including my own little world.”

I needed that reminder that Jesus is Lord and upholds all things by His powerful word (Hebrews 1:3), and that indeed includes my “own little world” as well.

Well, this email is more than long enough already, but I wanted to thank you for sharing your story. (By the way, I am very interested in the “Church of Hope on the Web” link on your page, and will be taking a closer look at it. My passion is sound doctrine, too.) Again, your testimony has been a great encouragement to me, and through it the Lord has reminded me of those first days of faith and is calling me to “. . . do the things you did at first.” (Revelation 2:5) Conversations on Faith is the Power for Living for our time. I believe that in heaven, Arthur S. DeMoss and those who made Power for Living a reality will be receiving the thanks of thousands who are there because of them. I believe the same is true of all who have made Conversations on Faith a reality as well. I am one who has been greatly refreshed and encouraged, so I wanted to say thank you here on earth. Of course, I will be happy to say it again in heaven, before the Lord Himself, who is so pleased with your willingness to share your faith.

“Considered as a multi-talented inspirational speaker, Bee Bareng is a lovely Christian woman who shares her faith clearly and effectively, referrring to God’s word often. She is the most gifter music signer. Her interpretation of songs is an act of worship through the motions and her expressions that enhances the words and music.

Bee is also a floral designer by trade, a seamstress that creates her own custumes to enhance her musical presentation and creates a beautiful floral design while sharing her talk. But behind that, she has a heart for God and it is evidenced through her desire to see others come to know Christ and to believe in Him as their Lord and Savior. . .” (Arlene Mason, Director, Conservative Baptist Women’s Fellowship of Southern California)

“The story of this faith-filled immigrant will touch your heart and inspire you!

Bee Badiola Bareng represents the very fabric of America! The heartwarming story of her journey from the Philippines to the United States will touch your heart and remind you of the greatness of this beautiful country.

Read Bee’s story in this edition of Conversations on Faith and be inspired to exercise your faith as you reach for your dreams.” Insight Publishing
